Sinann

This story is of the longest river in Ireland, the Shannon. Sinann, Goddess of the river, went to Connla's Well, which is under sea, to behold it. This well holds hazels and inspirations of wisdom, and in the same hour their fruit, and blossom, and foliage break forth, and fall on the well in a shower, which raises on the water a royal surge of purple. Then the salmon chew the fruit, and the juice of the nuts shows on their bellies. And seven streams of wisdom spring forth.
